How to use Translation feature •

The Countdown Timer Bar has a built-in translation feature powered by our translation app, Hextom: Translate & Currency.  This allows you to display bars in multiple languages, helping you reach more markets.

How to install Translate & Currency App

If you haven’t installed Hextom: Translate & Currency yet, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your app dashboard and click the **Translation **tab from the side navigation.
  1. You’ll see a page like this, notifying you that the app is required to proceed with translation.
  1. Click Add App for FREE, which will redirect you to the Shopify App Store, where you can install Hextom: Translate & Currency.
  1. Click **Install **to add the app to your store.

Now that **Translate & Currency **app is installed, we can proceed with the translation.

How to Create a Translation for the Bar Message

  1. Go to the Hextom Timer Bar app and click on **Translation **on the left side menu:
  1. You’ll see a quick guide at the top of the page and a list of your bars at the bottom.

  1. Click the **Translate **button of the bar you would like to translate. In this example, the bar “T-Shirt Sale” will be translated. When the **Translate **button is clicked, a new section appears. Here, you can select the language into which you would like to translate the bar.

  1. Use the drop-down menu to select your desired language, then click Load Content for Translation to load the bar content.
  1. You now have two options: you can either manually enter the translation or use the AI translation feature. Click Load AI Translation to automatically populate the field with an AI-generated translation.
  1. Finally, when you are happy with your translation, click on Save**.**

After saving, you will be able to see the languages that each bar has been translated into:

Now that the bar has been translated, when you visit your store and set the language to one of the translated languages, the bar should display in that language:

How to Delete a Bar Translation

To delete a translation, load the translation you wish to remove, clear the translated text from the fields, and then click **Save **with the fields left empty.

You will see that the bar is no longer translated in that language.
